You will leave with sewing samples of new techniques AND you will have the chance to use them on your own garments.

• button-up shirts

• trousers / work pants

• skirts / dresses

• light weight jackets

• wovens only* (nothing stretchy!)

Learn how to:

• Select hem based on the garment / fabric

• Blind hem (when you can’t see the stitching on formal hems)

• Taper pants / skirts / dresses

• Take in waist/ hips / seat of pants + skirts

• Add darts + contour darts

• Do a fitting and learn the most efficient places to begin an alteration
