Learn how to:
Identify different fabric types + why that’s important
Thread + operate sewing machine
Mark + cut fabric
Doublefold hem
Finish a raw edge w/ zigzag
Fix a mistake
Encase elastic
Turn a perfectly pointy corner
Insert a drawstring
Skill Level: TOTAL BEGINNERS WELCOME!! No experience necessary, but if you know a little and want to solidify foundational skills, this is also the class for you.
Class Size: 6 people
How Long: 8 hours total, split into 2, 3, or 4 classes.
Bring: Nothing! We provide all materials and use of machine + tools. Maybe some reading glasses if you have them.

After 13 years of teaching beginners, we figured out what works to make sure you have fun, and leave with the skills, techniques and confidence to make dozens of different projects on your own.
This is also the foundation you need to move on to clothing, quilts, lingerie, bags, etc.!
